You do have one ally: A supply plane flies overhead routinely and parachutes in more anti-aircraft ammo and health boxes, which you shoot to obtain. If you destroy them all before your health meter drops to zero, you move to the next level. After the first few levels, attackers will begin arriving in waves: a barrage from the attack helicopters accompanying the first wave of soldiers, followed by a wave of tanks, APCs, and fighter jets. The entire game takes place on the same beach, so the only variation comes in the weapons and ammunition you are given and in the number of various types of enemies.
